What a movie it was! Dark, sensational, strong acting, thrilling and what not... if you haven't watched it yet. Then pls goo nd watch it. That was some good role playing i will watch it again. I gave this film 7/10 because I think Joaquin Phoenix is one of the best actors in Hollywood. However, I don't get the hype about the "message" conveyed. I have seen so many "rebellion against the society" movies that I wasn't surprised or impressed by anything presented in Joker, except for Phoenix's convincing acting. He presented a different take on the Joker character than his predecessors, so I suppose it's noteworthy. Otherwise nothing "incredible" about the content of the film really. Also, I don't understand the "profound depth" of the musical score - why all of the awards. Morricone, Williams, Rota and so many other greats weren't recognized nearly as quickly in their lifetimes, honestly... And this slow cello theme is put on the pedestal, like some instant classic? Seriously.

I'm keeping it short, the movie sucks.
Yes, I know there's a need to build character and crap, and I think it's important for any good movie.
Same goes with this, I get it Joker was a troubled man, I get his frustration, but I don't need 2 hours of the movie telling me the same crap over and over again.
Give the guy an Oscar for performance but throw this movie into the trash right after.
